For the anniversery of the 100th birthday of Maestro Osvaldo
Pugliese, Roberto Alvarez had the honor and the task of reviewing,
correcting, and selecting previously unpublished material which
the Maestro was never able to record to disc during his lifetime.
Roberto Alvarez was bandoneonist for Pugliese for well over 10
years and formed his own orchestra "Color Tango" with the intent
of keeping Pugliese's music style alive. The result today is the
splendid CD "Pugliese Inedito" which contains 10 never before
published tangos composed by the maestro and 5 tangos composed by
the members of Color Tango, which arrive for the first time to the
public in a commercial recording.
